Sagittarius

Here is the sketch for the Sagittarius cross stitch, My last one. Iv been looking forward to stitch this one.

The design hasn't really changed for the finished thing.

My next project!!

I have though long and hard about what I want to do after  I have stitched all the Star Sign, and I came up with this

Her Name is Faythe and I have many more Little Cat people in the works ready to be drawn and changed into a cross stitch. I may change the design a bit when I get to stitching it, but for now here is the initial idea. 

and this is Fly, she is my Favourite one at the minute. These are the only two I have for now my I have many more in the pipe line.

Scorpio

On the the next Sign, heres is the initial idea for Scorpio. I couldn't decide which way round to have the patterns, so in the end I swapped them because I think that looks better. The colours are pretty much the same though.

Libra

Here is the drawing for the Libra Cross stitch. This one has changes loads since this drawing, because I couldn't decide what colours to do. 

Virgo

On to the next one, here is the drawing for Virgo, I like the patterns on this one. It hasn't really changed much from this so looking forward to stitching it.

Leo

Here is my favourite one, it has nothing to do with this one being my own star sign, he he, so anyway here is the initial drawing for Leo.

Hasn't really changed much, from this, but I am looking forward to stitching it. 

Cancer

Next up Cancer, here is the drawing for it, I took me a few drawings to get this one just right so that why it says revisited on top of the page. Even now the design has changed a lot since this one, you'll see when I finish the cross stitching. =D

Gemini

After Taurus it Gemini so here is the next drawing for the Gemini cross stitch. The colours have stayed pretty much the same for the final thing. 

Taurus

So after both of the baby samplers are done, I have final got around to doing another one of my star signs. So going down the list after Aries its Taurus so as always I start by doing some drawing for it first,

as alway it may change a bit when I start drawing it on Mac stitch,

I have decides to do a few baby samplers for my brother. for the birth of his daughter. last year and his son this year, so first I started buy doing some drawings for them both.

I started with this one and created to other one around the same design. I wanted to used mainly soft primary colours. and making it quite simple as well. 

Aries

Up next is Aries, here is the initial design I did for it. I think its changes a bit from here. This is one of my favourite ones

Pisces

On to the third sign, here is the Pisces design, I like all the sea colours in this one. 

Aquarius

Now that I have finished the Capricorn cross stitch, its on to the Aquarius one. Here is my first initial idea, I really liked doing this one.

Capricorn

Now I have had a got a designing my own cross stitches based off things, it is time for me to start making my own from scratch, so for a simple idea I decided to start of with Star signs, so as of January 2015 I have been cross stitching them all in order starting with Capricorn. Here is the initial drawing for it,

My ideas tend to develop as I start putting it through Photoshop, and Mac Stitch (Which it my cross stitch pattern software)

The Spaniel

The is another little cross stitch I did for my friend at work, He wanted me to make another cross stitch for his Grandma this time of a dog, for her birthday. So this is the drawing I did before it started to stitch it.

I then played around with the colours and came up with this. I find it easier to follow a pattern in colour instead of black and white. I really enjoyed doing this one, and I really liked the colours.

The one that started it all...

What better place to start then the beginning. The cross stitch was the one that started off the idea of me designing my own patterns in the first place. I was some one at work who came up to me and asked if I could design him a cat for his grandma for Christmas. He also wanted is personalised as the cat was called Lady. I said yes of course and started doing some sketches which led to the picture below.

He was very happy with this so I started changing it into a cross stitch pattern.

Bit rough I know my I knew what it meant.

I then started to stitch it, which you can see in the next post.
